I haven't seen so much snow on the ground since I visited my parents in Chicago some years back.
I'm going to conservatively estimate that we had ten inches of snow here on the hill last night. I base this on the fact that I measured about five inches last night when I dusted off Francine's car, and this morning it looks identical to it's pre-dusting state of yesterday.
Wow. Gotta cut back on the run-on sentences.
Needless to say, since we cancelled school for an inch of snow yesterday, there's no way we can open today.
Unfortunately, I've got some things to do for looming Friday deadlines that are not with me. I took enough work home Tuesday night to keep me going yesterday, but not today. So there's nothing for it but to try and go in.
Traffic on the hill is pretty much impossible, so I'm planning to walk downtown. Normally, this is a fifteen minute operation. We'll see. Hopefully the buses are running from there.
(For those two readers interested in such things [you know who you are], the title of this entry come from that great Latin carol often translated into English as "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!")
