Damn, I'm Old

Yesterday, my son shaved for the first time. Oy.

Went to a banquet last night with Beverly for H&R Block. Really loved that vegetarian entree. I think it was rolls, or maybe the side salad. I mean come ON, this is the twenty-first century, yes?

You'll find this amusing, then. My son's been shaving for a while now, but a couple weeks ago his electric shaver broke.

I'm too broke to replace it right now, so I bought him some disposable razors and a can of shaving cream. He was horrified and sure he would slice his entire face off.

In an effort to show him how, after days of pleading, I did the only thing left to do. Grabbed a razor myself, lathered up, and he watched me and followed suit.

So any few fuzzies that had escaped removal-by-latex succumbed to the razor.

I didn't nick myself once though :-)

Oh, we used the good old fashioned shaving soap. Tristan was terrified. I wasn't quite twisted enough to see if I could find a straight-razor, but even the idea of using the disposable was quite enough for him. Almost made it worth it, really...

Tristan is SHAVING??!!! I still remember "Muff the Bad Dragon"! I still remember his habit of throwing his entire body against the front door and sliding down into a crumpled, sobbing heap whenever Bev left. I remember Bismarck the dauchshund and Misty the "catshund". WHAT HAPPENED??!!
