Libby fingers Bush:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Dick Cheney's former top aide told prosecutors that his boss said President Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case.

Now can we impeach him? Please?

The source of the subject line is a Watergate-era Doonesbury cartoon.

I had to google it...

Back in the distant mists of time — the early 1970s — a young Garry Trudeau penned a Doonesbury strip where two legislators grumble over the difficulty of definitively nailing Richard Nixon. “If only he’d knock over a bank or something.” “By George, we’d have him then!”

Ten Points!

i wish, but it seems to be framed as hearsay right now. i think cheney would gladly call libby a liar (or claim he misunderstood) rather than implicate bush.

at the least, though, libby provides direct evidence that cheney is culpable :)

If only he'd knock over a bank.

He already did more than that. Remember the BCCI?
Follow the Money: How John Kerry busted the terrorists' favorite bank. (http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2004/0409.sirota.html)

Or, if editorials aren't your thing, you can just read the Report to the Committee on Foreign Relations (http://www.fas.org/irp/congress/1992_rpt/bcci/</a)

Apparently, the only thing that makes someone worthy of impeachment these days is boinking an intern.

Oh, that's glorious!
