Just now got back from Port Townsend. This weekend we shot some key scenes for The Resurrectionist at the Anne Starrett Mansion and the Old German Consulate. They're both victorian bed & breakfast type establishments. I love the architecture, the furniture, the atmosphere. I certainly didn't want to get out of bed this morning (though that might have had something to do with two hours of sleep the night before). The staff at both were extremely helpful and forgiving of having assorted lights and cables and cameras set up everywhere, not to mention cast and crew wandering about.

Michael and Sue Delong at the Old German Consulate were especially good to us - Michael once worked in theatre design (among other things), and had a great time telling his daughters and the other guests what was going on - he should have sold tickets. And he cooks a mean breakfast.

The filming itself was fun, though after two days it was pretty tedious. In two days, we probably spent about twelve or fourteen hours actually filming, where we shot about an hour or so of film, of which maybe fifteen or twenty minutes will be in the finished product. I do not envy Jason in editing this beast.

I also got some ideas for future projects...
