Spent rather a short morning at Shakabra. Wrote a CFD (crappy first draft) of Massa Track 5 (Recitative) "The Art of War". I'm pretty pleased with it, as it sounds in my head very Gilbert & Sullivanesque. This is exactly what we're going for in Act 1. Act 2 is more of a traditional operatic tragedy, while Act 3 is simply a train wreck. With monsters, of course.

Still no news from Mr. Aniolowski or his attorneys. *sigh*

Did a wee research this weekend about Napoleonic-era opera and the Mi-Go, just in case... Also did the suburban domestic thing - mowed the lawn, did laundry, &c. I find mowing the lawn puts me into a creative zone; I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the hypnotic rhythm of the whirling blades. Dunno.

I also nearly (again) killed my Hackmaster players. That's right - I GM Hackmaster. I'm more temperamentally suited to something like Call of Cthulhu or Unknown Armies or (Gods help me) Space 1889. My players, however, prefer something where they're not guaranteed to come to an immediate and sticky end. Quote: "But you can't win in Call of Cthulhu." They're finding out now that they can't really win Hackmaster either.
