OK, so I've set up a livejournal. I've been singularly unable to maintain a written journal for any length of time. Perhaps this will be different...

Thanks to Ann for setting me up.

Today I've done my duty as an umemployed American: I looked for work. Washington State, being in the state it is, there isn't much available for anybody, much less writers. I've worked as a tech writer for the past few years - it's usually pretty entertaining and lucrative. Sadly, I haven't yet found many people willing to support my habit as a creative writer. Oh sure, Armitage House published my play, The King in Yellow, but other than that, it's been pretty dry.

I'm currently working on a film, The Resurrectionist, a gothic western, which is now in production. I'm also writing the libretto for an opera, Massa di Requiem per Shuggay. My friend Christopher Hord is orchestrating this monstrosity, and if our luck holds we should have a CD out... sometime.

Periodically check for job listings on the SeaGoth Forums job board. If a techwriter can find a job, he can prolly find one there: http://pub53.ezboard.com/fseagothforumfrm36

Reading the listings is not the same as joining. *glares at jason*

I've not seen a Live Journal before, but it definitely fits your style, Thom. I think I'll send some folks that I know here in a sort of message-in-a-bottle way. 37dmx

You're doing a libretto for that? You should drop a line to Scott Aniolowski. He's a long-time CoC writer and has done some Massa-related work in the past. Scott's at:
