First, read this: Bush commutes Libby's prison sentence.

Now for some reaction:

"This decision to commute the sentence of a man who compromised our national security cements the legacy of an Administration characterized by a politics of cynicism and division, one that has consistently placed itself and its ideology above the law." (Sen. Barack Obama)

"Only a president clinically incapable of understanding that mistakes have consequences could take the action he did today. ... In George Bush's America, it is apparently okay to misuse intelligence for political gain, mislead prosecutors and lie to the FBI." (Sen. John Edwards)

"This administration clearly believes its officials are above the law." (Gov. Bill Richardson [NM])

I, on the other hand, can't decide whether I'm angry or amused. How blatant can they be before the "opposition" starts opposing?

If only Dick Cheney would shoot a guy... oh, wait. Never mind.

::jaw hits floor::

What a scumbag. Even Paris Hilton did her time. But a convicted felon is off the hook. You know that if Scooter doesn't have the dough to pay the fine, his rich GOP buddies will take care of it. Bastards.

Why are we still surprised by anything we discover that Bush has done? There have been so many things he has done that keep trumping the last action, you'd think we'd expect the next one. I am confident that we will continue to discover actions he has done while in office for many years to come. Either that or he'll blow up the White House before the next elected President can move in.

I have said this before, but it bears repeating. They impeached Clinton for lying about a blow job. Once, it was only speculation that Bush lied. It's now proven fact, and the things he's lied about are so much more morally corrupt than getting blown by your intern. Where's the outrage that sparked a motion, now?

Maybe it's time we stop focusing so much on Bush and Loki...er...I mean Cheney, and START looking into why our government won't raise a finger against them.
