I Only Wish I Knew the Plan

I have been unemployed now since All Saints Day, November 1. My state unemployment claim has been denied, so as of this moment I have officially zero income.

OK, that's not quite true. I've been doing some odd publishing and layout contracts, but this is not going to pay the mortgage. Or the wedding.

So I've been going to Tulley's every morning, just to keep a steady routine. They've got a conference room with a great view of the Tacoma streets that I'm using as my own private looking for work office.

I've also been doing a lot of work on Cruenti Dei. I seriously underestimated the amount of work these maps would be. I've got two more difficult ones to do, and then a handful of easy ones, similar to the sample posted.

Come hell or high water, the rule book is going to the printers on Saturday.

Bookmarked the lovecraft game link! I really wish they'd come up with some sort of Morrowind-like RPG in the Lovecraft universe. (Or the dreamquest universe...) There's one Lovecraft-based game out recently, but it's starforced, and I like my DVD+RW drive enough not to trash it on it.

Denied? That's weird - why?

Because for the past two years I worked for a tiny little Catholic school that could not afford to pay into the unemployment insurance system.

Not that it means much at the moment, but the plan is, quite simply, for you to grow.

That reminds me of something Cardinal Newman once said. Unfortunately, I don't have the quote at my fingertips. I should.

His take was that the plan was actually the interlocking of zillions of individual plans, so there was no way to know how God intended them all to mesh together.

So trust in God's plan. He knows what he's doing, even if you can't quite figure it out.
