That looks like it's been used as a set in a movie or something.
I'm getting all kinds of deja vu the more I look at it.

It's entirely possible. And weirdly, the whole cathedral plaza (with cathedral, Gaudi museum, local eatery, and albergue) looks like a Disney version of Spain. I could certainly see the attraction for a film company to choose the site.
