I've gone and joined the dark side.

After being subjected to noisy gossip from cellphonelady on the #41 bus, I was terrorized by deepbassleakingfromtheheadphonesguy behind me on the #347 bus.

I was trying (and largely failing) to write.

Enough is enough.

I bought an iPod shuffle.

They only come in basic white.

You can get coloured sleeves for them, ostensibly to "protect" them, but I can't be bothered enough.

I find dirty looks and aggressive body language to be an effective bubble creation technique.

Randomly shouting profanity also works, but do it at your own reflection in the window.

I almost forgot: Do your writing on scraps of paper picked from the trash and stuff them into random pockets, but not your own...
